Tomorrow we are hosting the Utah Super Meet–a lifting competition to find the strongest pound-for-pound lifter in Utah.
Miranda, the manager at RxFIT-Springville and Head Forte Coach, has been preparing her athletes for months now for this event. In lieu of her preparation behind the scenes, I was thinking about her story this morning and wanted to share it with you (see 90-second video below).
In the short video, you’ll hear her experience of being 30-lbs overweight after she delivered her last child. Frustrated, she did what most do: began running and eating a low-carb diet in order to shed the excess body fat. But every day was a grind. Exercise was a drag, as in something she had to do–not something she wanted to do.
At RxFIT, we believe exercise should be the best part of your day. Really, we want you to look forward to coming into the gym with us every day. This is the way it was for me in high school when I got to go into practice and be with my friends. Fast forward a decade later and the best hour of my day is still when I go into the gym and workout with my friends.
For Miranda, it wasn’t until she found the barbell sports that she fell in love with exercise. Fast forward 10-years later and she’s not only incredibly fit but still consistent in lifting heavy barbells every day!
See you tomorrow in Bluffdale at the Utah Super Meet!
